Fundraising

What does it cost to run The Ark?

It costs The Ark Charity approximately £350,000 a year to run the vital services we provide to homeless, vulnerable and at risk young people.

Our basic running costs are mainly funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government through Milton Keynes Council, Supporting People. We are also lucky enough to have received various donations from local and national organisations and individuals over the years.

Whilst we have been very fortunate in the past, we still need to raise income from our own fundraising efforts to develop and improve our services for the future and to work towards our plans for further provision in Milton Keynes.

GET INVOLVED!

We are currently looking for a handyman (or handywoman!) who would be willing to volunteer their time to The Ark Charity. Many of our residents and service users require small jobs done around the home, such as fitting curtain poles and painting. We do not have the expertise or skills to do all of the required tasks and so would be delighted to hear from anyone willing to help us from time to time.

We run and take part in many local events. If you would like more information or if you could run an event, volunteer or fundraise on
our behalf, please click here

Donations

Any donation – large or small – as either a single gift or regular monthly
payment is gratefully received.

Services or gifts in kind are also welcome – furniture, paint and white goods can always be put
to good use.

Please visit our donations page for more details.

Legacy Giving

We understand that not everybody can afford to give their time or money, especially during the recession.

Please visit our Legacy Giving page for details of how you can help us in another important way.
